NAIA Men’s Highlights from Friday
- Trailing 16-5 after six matches, Life rallied with three straight wins — including pins by Kendall Norfleet (184) and Jesse Perez (197) to edge Embry-Riddle, 20-19, in a quarterfinal bout.
- Southeastern scored the final nine points — off a decision by Gentry Smith (197) and a pin by Gage Braun (Hwt) — defeat Cumberlands, 22-14, in a quarterfinal.
- The first-round bout between Embry-Riddle and Providence ended in a 20-20 tie before the Arizona school won on criteria by virtue of a more bonus-point wins, including a a pin by heavyweight Kenneth Copley in the final bout of the dual.
- Southern Oregon won the final three matches — including a pair of major decisions by Adrian Chavez-Morales (184) and Asher Ruchti (197) — to give them a first-round 22-18 victory over Indiana Tech.
- Cumberlands heavyweight Austin Silva scored a pin in the final match to help his team edge Montana State Northern, 23-18, in a first-round dual. This came after Devin Crawford (174) and Austin Vanek (197) scored victories to give their school an 18-17 lead heading into heavyweight.
