The following are results and highlights, involving NCAA Div. III schools, from the first day of the 2025 NWCA Multi-Division National Duals, held Jan. 10-11 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Div. III Highlights from Friday
- Wisconsin-LaCrosse won their final three bouts, to earn a 20-14 victory over The College of New Jersey with Heavyweight Michael Douglas of Wisconsin-LaCrosse defeated Matthew Coon to clinch the quarterfinal match.
- Trailing 18-16 with two matches to go, Alvernia’s Isaac Kassis (197) and Mauro Pellot (Hwt) each earned decisions to prevail the PA school over the No. 8 seed North Central, 22-18, in a first-round bout. The Illinois school jumped out to 14-0 lead after three bouts, thanks to TFs by Christian Guzman (125) and Brady Rosen (141) before Alvernia won four straight matches — including a pin by Jason Rezac (157) — to lead 16-14. A major decision by NC’s Payton Geigner at 184 gave his school a short lead.
- Castleton, located in Vermont, trailed 15-10 with three matches left before Sampson Wilkins (184), Haven Tatarek (197) and Evan Day (Hwt) all scored decision to help their team beat Loras, 19-15. The Iowa school earned four wins, three on majors by Aiden Evans (133), Eric Kincaid (157) and Zeb Gnida (174).
- Alvernia edged Centenary, 26-25, in the prelim after trailing 19-0 after the first four matches. But Alvernia won five of the next six bouts, scoring bonus points in all bouts, including pins by Charlie Babb (157) and Matt Lackman (165) before Isaac Kassis (MD) and Mauro Pellot (TF) won the final two bouts at 197 and Hwt.
- No. 2 seed Wabash needed Criteria No. 2 to edge Cornell College, 21-20 in the preliminary dual. With both teams winning five bouts, the pin by Mason Weyant at 141 pounds providing the winning criteria.
