This exercise is an excellent form of Spartan training for the total body. It is wrestling specific exercise that works the core, legs, and hips. Dragging tires is a great way to develop pushing capabilities to better set your opponent up for a leg attack or to force your opponents off the mat in freestyle and Greco.
Drag the tire 50 yards for three or four sets. This will develop Spartan cardio-respiratory endurance.
Notice the clinch, this will also help you with clinching and double under hooks.
