The calendar has turned to March, the month in which college wrestling championships will take place, especially in Detroit, Mich., March 17-19, when the NCAA Division I Championships take place at Little Caesars Arena.

Page 8 – NCAA TEAM PREVIEW: ALL TOO FAMILIAR?  – Wrestlers from Penn State and Iowa, who could be two of the top teams at the 2022 NCAA Division I Championships, will also meet in the Big Tens. Is that a good or bad thing in how the NCAA team race sets up for Detroit?

Page 12 – ASICS RACE FOR THE HODGE TROPHY UPDATE  – It’s time for fans to learn how they can also get involved in determining the winner of the 2022 WIN Magazine/Culture House Dan Hodge Trophy, presented by ASICS, a few days after the NCAA Nationals.

Page 14 – ILLINOIS NOTEBOOK  – Steve Marianetti, the Elmhurst College coach and 1995 NCAA champ, as well as current Wisconsin wrestler Austin Gomez credits their time growing up in Illinois for their current success.

Page 20 – NCAA DIV. I WEIGHT-BY-WEIGHT PREVIEWS – WIN takes a closer look at the Top-10 ranked wrestlers in each of the 10 weight classes that compete in the 2022 NCAA Div. I Championships.

Page 55 – MULTI-DIVISIONAL NOTEBOOK  – As schools were determining how many national qualifiers they would have for the NCAA Div. II, III and NAIA Championships, Lindenwood announced it was planning on moving up to Div. I next winter.

Page 56 – WASHINGTON NOTEBOOK/FACES  – The news-making wrestlers featured this month from the Evergreen State are Abel Nava and Lacho Godinez of Toppenish and Alyvia White from Lake Stevens.

Page 58 – WOMEN’S COLLEGE NOTEBOOK  – Heading into the postseason, the top three NAIA programs were Campbellsville, Grand View and Menlo, while McKendree, King and Simon Fraser were considered favorites at the upcoming NCWWC Nationals
