2018 EIWA Review: Lehigh won five individual championships to claim the team title with a 164.5-146 margin over Cornell, which saw its 11-year title -run end.

History: Lehigh has won 35 team titles of this event, once called the “Easterns”, the first coming in 1927 and the last coming in 2018. Twice, the Mountain Hawks have won five straight championships (1931-35 and 2002-06). Cornell ranks second with 25 titles, including 11 straight between 2007-17. The last team other than Lehigh or Cornell to win was Harvard in 2001, while Penn won four straight, 1996-99. Four schools — Penn State (16), Syracuse (8), Yale (7) and Pitt (4) — are no longer in the EIWA.
