- North Carolina State: Eight of coach Pat Popolizio’s recruits were state champions this season: Tommy Cox (125) of Deer Park (N.Y.), Hayden Hidlay (149-157) of Lewistown (Pa.) Mifflin County, Chris Diaz (141) and twins Thomas (165) and Daniel Bullard (174) of Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer, Kellen Devlin (133-141) of Amherst (N.Y.), Codi Russell (125-133) of Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill and Charlie Lenox (125) of Waterford (Pa.) Fort LeBoeuf. Despite losing in the National Prep final, Nick Reenan (165-174) of Wyoming Seminary may have been his biggest addition.
- Iowa State: Coach Kevin Jackson’s class got a big boost from a pair of westerners who bring with them a combined seven state titles: Danny Vega (125) of Oro Valley (Ariz.) Ironwood Ridge and four-time Oregon champion Samuel Shields-Colbray (197) of Hermiston. Seven of his eight recruits were state champions, including his lone in-state recruit, Gannon Gremmel of Dubuque Hempstead. Ian Parker (125-133) of St. Johns, who won his state at 140, and Kanen Storr (141) of Leslie own five Michigan titles between them. Zemua Baptista (149-157) of Friend pinned his way to his third Nebraska title and Trey Meyer (174) of Spokane East Central won in Washington.
- Lehigh: Two of coach Pat Santoro’s eight recruits, National Prep champion Chris Weiler (174-184) of Wyoming Seminary and state champion Jordan Wood (197-285) of Boyertown, ended their senior years on the shelf due to injury. But Luke Karam (125-133) of Bethlehem Catholic moved up to 3A to win his third state title and John Jakobsen (184-197) of Stroudsburg also won. Four other Mountain Hawks recruits finished third.
- Harvard: Coach Jay Weiss’s recruits had some bumps, such as Kyle Bierdumpfel (157) of Ramsey Don Bosco Preparatory losing at the buzzer in his bid to repeat as a New Jersey state champion. But A.J. Jaffe (141) of Aurora (Ill.) Marmion Academy prevailed in a tough weight class and Hunter Ladnier (141-149) of Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward dominated en route to an Ohio crown.
- Missouri: Coach Brian Smith’s class produced five state champions. Ethan Karsten (149-157) of Platte City Platte County, Sean Hosford (157-165) of Kansas City Park Hill and Wyatt Koelling (197) of Kaysville (Utah) Davis all won their third titles and Dante Jiovenetta (285) of Tavernier Coral Shores won for the second time.
- Michigan State: It was a mixed bag for coach Roger Chandler’s first signing class. The good: Drew Hughes (165-174) of Lowell (Ind.) dominated on his way to his second state title, Jake Tucker (157) of Chicago Mount Carmel and Austin Hiles (165-174) of Brecksville (Ohio) Broadview Heights won and Christian Rebottaro (285) of Watsonville Monte Vista Christian School advanced to the California state finals. The bad: all three in-state recruits, two defending state champions, lost in the state finals.
