Championship will take place Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

NCAA Women Notes from Friday

  • The first-round match was tied 22-22 when Colorado Mesa and Sacred Heart ended their bout, but the Mavericks from Colorado advanced based on winning six of the 10 matches. That included technical falls by Isabella Morales (110), Marjorie McDaniel (117) and Hania Halverson (131). One of Sacred Hearts wins was a pin by Love Daley (160).
  • McKendree advanced to Saturday’s semifinal when Kaylynn Albrecht (180) and Tristan Kelly (207) won the final two matches as the Bearcats prevailed 24-20 over Presbyterian in the quarterfinals. The South Carolina school led 20-16 after eight matches, thanks to pins by Madeline Kubicki (145) and May Cuyler (160).
