Who will win college wrestling’s most coveted award?

Between now and before the start of the NCAA Division I Championships, March 21-23 in Kansas City, WIN Magazine will provide a weekly update on the ASICS Race for the 2024 Dan Hodge Trophy, which will be presented after this year’s national tournament.

The following is a list of NCAA Division I college wrestlers who were undefeated this year (as of Feb. 15), are ranked No. 1 by WIN, have reached previous NCAA finals and are considered front-runners to win the 2024 WIN Magazine/Culture House Dan Hodge Trophy, presented by ASICS. They are listed in numerical order of their weight class.

The WIN Magazine/Culture House Dan Hodge Trophy, presented by ASICS, was created in 1995 by WIN founder Mike Chapman, who named the award after Dan Hodge (left), the late three-time NCAA champion from Oklahoma (1955-57) who was 46-0 in his career with 36 pins.

The winner of the trophy is announced following the NCAA Division I Championships in March. It is voted on by former Hodge Trophy winners, select retired college coaches from each region and media members. There is also an online fan vote that will count for five official Hodge first-place votes. WIN Magazine will announce its finalists shortly after this year’s NCAA Championships.

Criteria for winning the Hodge includes a wrestler’s record, dominance/bonus-point percentage, quality of competition and sportsmanship.
