2018 Big Ten Review: For the second straight year, Ohio State ignored the fact that Penn State was favored and won the team championship (by a 164.5-148 margin over the Nittany Lions); the Buckeyes’ fifth all-time title. This came after Penn State, which joined the Big Ten in 1993, had won five team championship between 2011-16.
Returning Champs: 133-Stevan Micic (Michigan); 141-Joey McKenna (Ohio State); 157-Alec Pantaleo (Michigan), 174-Mark Hall (Penn State), 184-Bo Nickal (Penn State, now at 197); 197-Kollin Moore (Ohio State).
History: Iowa has won the most team titles (35, the last coming in 2015), followed by Illinois (17, including the first Big Ten tourney in 1913). Other schools to win team titles were Indiana (13), Michigan (11), Minnesota (10), Michigan State (8), Purdue (6), Ohio State and Penn State (5).
