All 16 seeds won their matches on Thursday, including eight who scored bonus points in their victories.

That included:

• Oklahoma State’s No. 9 Chandler Rogers who pinned North Dakota State’s Andrew Fogarty;
• Michigan’s No. 2 Logan Massa who won by a 19-3 technical over Old Dominion’s Seldon Wright;
• Six other wrestlers won by major decision – No. 1 Isaiah Martinez (Illinois), No. 4 Isaac Jordan (Wisconsin), No. 5 Chad Walsh (Rider), No. 6 Daniel Lewis (Missouri), No, 7 Anthony Valencia (Arizona State) and No. 13 Brandon Womack (Cornell)

Thursday night’s second round will feature three matchups where the opponents met in the finals of their conference qualifiers:

• No. 8 Dylan Cottrell (West Virginia) vs. No. 9 Chandler Rogers;
• No. 5 Chad Walsh (Rider) vs. No. 12 Austin Matthews (Edinboro);
• No. 6 Daniel Lewis (Missouri) vs. No. 11 Bryce Steiert (Northern Iowa)
