WRESTLING RANKINGS

EDMOND, Okla.—Lopsided dual wins over a pair of top-five teams helped Nebraska-Omaha maintain its status as the unanimous No. 1 team in NCAA Division II, according to the poll released Wednesday by the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches’ Association.
The defending national champion Mavericks received all eight first-place votes and finished with 160 points in balloting of coaches from around the country. UNO routed No. 3 Nebraska-Kearney (32-4) and No. 5 Central Oklahoma (31-4) in duals last week and is 6-1 on the year.
Minnesota State-Mankato moved from fifth to second after upsetting previous No. 2 Augustana (S.D.), while UNK stayed third and Augustana dropped to fourth. Rounding out the top 10 is UCO, Pittsburgh-Johnstown (Pa.), Ashland (Ohio), Mercyhurst (Pa.), Adams State (Colo.) and Shippensburg (Pa.).
Nebraska-Omaha, which will host the 2005 national tournament on March 11-12, has seven ranked individuals, topped by No. 1s J.D. Naig (165) and Les Sigman (285).
Augustana (149 Ryan King and 184 Tom Meester) and Nebraska-Kearney (125 Bryce Abbey and 197 Jeff Sylvester) also have two top-ranked individuals.
